lauren’s year in review

2015. It has been an incredible year, full of much to be thankful.

Here are a few highlights…

1. This has been my favorite year of both marriage and parenting. I have enjoyed and appreciated my hubby and my kids more this year than ever. We have all laughed so much and created innumerable memories that will last a lifetime. {By the way, if you are parenting toddlers, ages 4 and 5 get SO much easier and are just so fun! These sweet years make the tougher years of parenting all worth it!}

2. Speaking of family, my parents moved from Pennsylvania to Georgia this year and now live just an hour away. This has been a tremendous blessing to get to see them often, and my children have greatly flourished by being around loving grandparents regularly. Both of my parents have been HUGE supporters of my blog and business, and I am immensely grateful.

3. Before I move on from talking about my family, my husband deserves another mention. Mike is always looking out for my best interests, believing in me and encouraging me to be the best version of myself. He also encourages me to set boundries for self-care and relaxation. {Because I can tend to be a workaholic!} No blogger with kids can do so without an amazing supporting cast, and I have Mike to thank for always being willing to flex, pinch hit and help me with the kids and home. He’s a lot of fun, too, and makes the best Moscow Mules!

4. I couldn’t do what I do without pictures and I am thankful for an incredibly talented team of photographers {Heidi Geldhauser, Anne Almasy and Amanda Pulley} who have believed in me and made it fun to shoot outfits back to back in all sorts of weather conditions, often while helping me change in the back of a car!

An especially big shout-out goes to Amanda Pulley of Vagabond Photography who is one of my best friends, as well as my top photographer. Amanda is one of those rare friends that you know has your back all the time and can be super honest without ever feeling offensive. {She may be the only person in the world who can tell me something looks unflattering on me and I am not the least hurt!} This girl has invested so much time and talent into helping me grow this blog and my Instagram page, and I am forever indebted.

5. I am beyond blessed with supportive friends in the fashion industry. First, the Edit Wardrobe Styling team is made of talented friends who are constantly encouraging and uplifting. Thank you to Jackie, Mabry, Sherri and Mirielle. {A big shout-out to Jackie who answers my crazy text messages nightly around 11pm and who is a daily sounding board, and to Mabry who keeps the Edit business organized!!} Second, one of my favorite things about 2015 has been building friendships with some other bloggers. These girls are so inspiring and such loving friends :: Jennifer of Jenny Sue Makeup, Jessica of Lipstick Heels and a Baby, Tara of Jimmy Choos and Tennis Shoes, Luisa of Peaches to Pearls, Jenn of Mrs. Casual and Liz of Accessory Jane. Each of these girls ladies have invested in and blessed my life this year.

6. It’s been a tremendous honor and felt like a dream come true to work and collaborate with some of my favorite brands this year. Attending to New York Fashion Week in September was also a highlight of the year.

7. I couldn’t do any of this without each of YOU! Thank you for being faithful readers here on the blog and followers on Instagram. Every comment, like and email means so much, and I am humbled by your love and support!!

8. Last but not least, thank you to God, the giver of all gifts, for all He is doing in my life. As I practice the art of gratitude, I realize more and more that all these things are because of God and, in the end, for God. My prayer is that He receives tremendous glory through my life and in my relationships.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of 2015 ::

Cheers to an amazing 2016!

Stylishly yours,
