the {must-have} boyfriend blazer

Get excited! It’s almost the weekend AND I’m giving away another “free tip” today!
I tell 95% of the female clients I style that they need a black boyfriend blazer. It is a hands-down closet staple and the perfect “finishing” layering piece that can be worn casually with jeans, slacks to the office or with a cocktail dress for a dressy occassion. What makes this style of blazer different than a suit-blazer, you ask? It is more fitted and more casual…usually a bit shrunken in the length, fitted through the arms {usually the arms of a boyfriend blazer are three-quarter sleeves or cuffed} and the material is usually a brushed-cotton.

And I am super excited to report to you that my absolute favorite boyfriend blazer is FINALLY available again. I purchased this blazer last year, and it hasn’t been available at all this season…until now! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that I wear this blazer ALL of the time. I get so many compliments on it that I think I could sell them out of car trunk and get rich doing so!

Here’s the blazer, by Gibson, available at Nordstrom ::

{This blazer is selling out like crazy, so if you think you want it, I recommend ordering it immediately. I have noticed the availability of sizes has been changing day to day the past few days, as I have been checking on it for clients, so check back if the size you need isn’t available. And here is another great-fitting blazer option to try, also at Nordstrom.}

And here are just a few ways I have worn my Gibson boyfriend blazer, for a little inspiration…

with sparkles, leather pants and heels.
