New Dining Room Reveal

Welcome to our new dining room!

If you have been following along since we moved into our home in March 2020, you know that we have been slowly renovating and redecorating this 26-year-old home, room by room. We finally finished the dining room, and I am excited to share with you today!

We kept the Frontgate dining table and chairs we had in our previous home {similar options linked here and here}, and added a new sideboard {from Belso Home}, as well as new lighting, wallpaper and accessories. I love the mix of textures and neutrals that work together to create a dramatic yet inviting space, that looks extra stunning at night!

Wallpaper was the most difficult decision and I debated for weeks over going light vs dark. I ultimately decided to go dark with the walls to create a contrast with the white walls in the rest of our downstairs. This wallpaper is by York and I couldn’t love it more!

If you are local and on the hunt for wallpaper, I highly recommend visiting Lisa at Gregory’s Paint and Flooring in Johns Creek. She is awesome and helped me tremendously with selecting wallpaper for both this dining room, as well as our downstairs powder room. For installation, I recommend MMC Wallpaper {404.643.1475}. They have installed paper in two rooms in this home, a room in our old home, as well as mom’s home and several friends and always do a fantastic job!

The team at Stevie Collective helped me select and source this show-stopping oversized mirror and these gorgeous lamps, that totally complete the space. I highly recommend Stevie Collective for in-person or virtual design, as well as the shop as resource for furniture, lighting and accessories. Stevie Collective can source SO much more than what is listed on their site, including the chandelier, lamps, mirror and centerpiece in my dining room. Reach out to them with any design needs, big or small, and mention my name for a discount on any furniture, mirror or lighting purchase. Their team is SO talented and delightful!

Eventually I plan to add a rug to this room, but with a new puppy, that is one thing I am putting on a hold short-term! In the mean time, I don’t mind getting to enjoy seeing our newly refinished white oak floors in this space!

All in all, I am so happy with the contrasting light and dark woods, mixed metals and textures plus the statement wallpaper that all together create a classic yet modern vibe that looks fab both day and night. I am excited to do lots of entertaining in this space for years to come!

Stylishly yours,

Lauren
