Many of us are familiar with the term “sex trafficking,” but did you know that it is a $150-billion dollar business that is the second largest and fastest organized crime network in the world? And that this is business, according to the U.S. State Department, traffics between 600,000 to 820.000 women and children across international boarders each year, eighty percent of which are girls?

I have personally been passionate about supporting the cause to end this horrific injustice, and recently had the great pleasure of sitting down with Brittni Adams, a inspiring lady with a big vision to eradicate sex trafficking within her lifetime.

Adams chose luxury handbags as a resource for sustainable funding, giving a female consumer the opportunity to “carry” the weight, the cause and the funding of education in a personal way. {Read more about Adams and the vision of Whitby Handbags here. I encourage you to take 5 minutes to watch the video on this page!}

Whitby Handbags are made from the finest saffiano Italian leather right here in the United States. The colorful interiors of each bag are designed by a girl receiving sponsorship. Each bag comes with a face and a story. Carrying one of these gorgeous bags literally helps carry the weight of these valuable lives and share this worthy cause! I carried this gorgeous caramel Codet Satchel for a few days and was honored to get to tell the story behind it whenever someone complimented me on the bag.

Enjoy 25% off any Whitby Handbags purchase with code EDITBYLAUREN through July 15th.

Stylishly yours,

    Love that you are mixing fashion with a great cause.
    Perhaps you can go one step further with a non-leather product and also help animals at the same time you are helping people??
