one dress, two ways

At the change of each season, there is nothing better than a comfy dress that can transition day to night, casual to dressed up.
This Old Navy drop-waisted plaid dress caught my eye because I have a major obsession with buffalo plaid this season. When it arrived in the mail, I was pleasently surprised by its softness and comfort, and have enjoyed experimenting with different ways to style it. This little dress is hands-down my current favorite go-to dress. I love that it looks great worn “plain” with short-sleeves and also layered. I am wearing it with booties now, and will transition to tights and tall boots when the temps cool.

Here’s how I styled this dress two ways ::

First, with a denim jacket and brown booties for dressed-down day-time…

Second, with a fitted leather jacket, black ankle booties and bling for a slightly dressier, edgier look…
