j.crew obsessions

Sherri and I had a blast playing dress up at our J.Crew Styling Event Thursday night.
Here is a what I wore…

Here’s Sherri and I at the J.Crew event…

It’s safe to say that Sherri and I both could each have easily broken the bank on buying up most of the store on Thursday. We tried a lot of pieces on ourselves and on others, and thought it would be fun to each share our top J.Crew favorites for Spring. {Trust us, if you are in need of any of these basics, these all look fantastic on!}

1. The Pixie Pant. Sherri and I both fell in love with these pants, and each took a pair home with us. In fact, we are going to devote an entire post to these pants, and how we both style them very soon! These are possibly the most flattering pants in the world, and work for effortless year-round wear. The J.Crew in-store recommended going down 2 sizes and she is right!

2. Prima Jersey Pocket Tank. This tank is SO incredibly soft, you will want to live {and sleep} in it! It’s the perfect layering tank under a jacket or blazer, as well as great easy-to-throw on tank to wear with shorts or boyfriend jeans on a sunny, laid-back day. I recommend ordering one size up so that it is long and flowy. {I usually wear an X-Small in J.Crew tees/tanks but purchased this in a Small.}

3. Schoolboy Blazer in Linen. Sherri took this super versital fitted white blazer home with her, so you’ll be seeing it styled on her very soon. Can pair with skirts, pants, dressy shorts, or your boyfriend denim. Instantly dresses up any look!

4. Vintage Cotton Striped Scoop Tee. This is the tee I am wearing above and it is the perfect striped tee. Soft and comfy and perfectly-fitting. A must-have spring basic, that pairs effortlessly with shorts and jeans,as well as skirts.

5. Jeweled Baseball Tee. This is Sherri’s favorite thing {especially in navy}! Perfect with boyfriend jenas, or a skirt to dress it up.

6. Gilded Brocade Shorts. This are absolutely gorge, the perfect shorts for dress-up! {This pic doesn’t do them justice.} You just might be seeing these on an upcoming outfit post…

7. Keeper Chambray Shirt. This might be the softest, most verstial chambray shirt I have seen. Wear it out, tucked in or tied. Trust me, you will live in it this Spring and Summer!

8. Merino Mesh-Sleeve Colorblock Sweater. Lightweight, casual sweater, perfect for spring!

9. Esplanade Skirt in Seersucker Eyelet. This cute skirt is what Sherri wore to the event. We love this paired with a fun graphic tee, or a blazer to dress it up. It’s SUPER flattering.
