There are few looks more crisp and beachy than a nautical ensemble. Pair together a combination of blues and whites and you have the perfect maritime look. This coastal-inspired style is appropriate for every age, is easy to pull off and never fails to look classy.

I wore this outfit this past week while on vacation at Hilton Head Island, SC. I paired a blue and white checkered peplum top with white jeans and accessorized with one of my very favorite summer necklaces. Nude-colored shoes perfectly compliment any nautical look.

Stripes are classically nautical, and effortlessly create a stylish yet timeless nautical look. {I am so obsessed with stripes, that I will be doing an entire blog post dedicated to this pattern coming up soon!} A striped navy and white dress is a summer-staple in my book. I love all the different ways a striped dress can be worn and accessorized…the possibilities are endless!

Pairing a bright color such as coral {pictured here}, hot pink, yellow, red or green with a navy and white stripes is another great nautical summer look.

You also cannot go wrong with creating a nautical look simply by wearing stripes with dark denim. Add some white enamel and/or gold accessories to finish the look, and you will find yourself wearing a stunning summer ensemble, that can be dressed up or down with ease.
