Summer fashion is typically known for its bold and vibrant colors, but neutral "basics" are essential for completing almost every look. In fact, pairing neutrals together can make a cool, low-key style statement and can be a welcome change from summer brights.

I styled a mix of neutral "wardrobe staples" from Nordstrom to create a daytime look, perfect for errand-running and lunch-dates. All of these pieces are both affordable {everything except the jacket is under $100} and super practical "completer" items that are guarenteed to stretch your wardrobe and look stylish for years to come.

Here's a summary of the must-have basics I am wearing ::

This draw-string skirt is a practical warm-weather piece and is cute paired with a tank or tee, layered with a jacket and worn with either flats, flipflops or wedges.

This scoopneck tee fits like a dream, comes in eight colors and is under $20!

Every gal needs a denim jacket and this one is a perfect fit and wash! {It runs on the smaller side, so I recommend sizing up.} And did I mention it is currently 40% off?!

And a neutral wedge sandal is at the top of my summer must-have list. This pair is comfortable and flatters the leg without too much heel height.

Stylishly yours,
