Laundry Room Organization Under-$100

Thanks andThat! for sponsoring this post.

You may recall that I am in the midst of a fun four-part shopping challenge with andThat! stores. If you missed my first post, you can find it here.

Today I am excited to introduce our newly renovated little mudroom/laundry nook, and to show you how I am stocking and organizing it with some very affordable items from andThat! In fact, I was able to snag all the andThat items used in this space for under-$100!

To provide some background on this space before diving into this post, our downstairs laundry room is small, so when we recently renovated our home, I decided to make the most of the space, but didn’t want to break the budget! We were able to gain a tad more space from one of the walls that bordered our garage, and added a stackable washer/dryer. Moving our side-by-side washer and dryer out of the space, allowed for a counter top and open shelving. I added shiplap to the back wall and a butcher block counter top.

My vision for this room is to have a pretty space to fold laundry and also to store household items.

Here’s some of the the goodies I found at andThat! and how they are helping my new laundry room stay organized ::

1. Mason Jars. Maybe it’s my Southern upbringing, but I love mason jars!! We use them around the house as drinking glasses and vases, but I have never used them in my laundry room until now. andThat! has an impressive selection of mason jars in all sizes, and the prices were unbeatable! In fact, I was able to score all six of these jars for under $15! I filled them with my essential oils that I use for laundry, Oxyclean, Tide Detergent Pods, dryer sheets, Woollite and Liquid Tide. I think they look so cute and keep my new laundry space free of bottles!

I was also able to score all of these brand name detergents, dryer sheets and even a new lint roller at andThat! at great prices, and love that I should shop it all in one place.

2. Storage baskets. When it comes to organization, baskets are my best friends. I love the look of mixing up the colors, textures and materials of baskets, and andThat! has a great variety. Again, I was super-impressed by the price-point and quality of andThat!’s baskets, so I stocked up on several shapes and sizes. It’s amazing how cute baskets can make everyday items like paper towels look pretty on display.

I am still in the midst of filling all the baskets on the shelves {yay for newly created storage!}, but some of the items I have sorted into individual baskets are :: Swiffer pads, light bulbs, party supplies, batteries, cocktail napkins and toilet paper/paper towels.

3. Hampers/Floor Baskets. Last but not least, I love the coordinating floor baskets I found at andThat! I am using these two larger baskets as laundry hampers for sorting, and I plan to pick up another one or two next time I visit andThat! These are the perfect size for storing laundry, and they look stylish, too!

Now that the kids are back in school, it’s the perfect time to organize! My advice is to start with something small and attainable, create a plan of attack and then to head to andThat! for some of your organizational supplies. If you live in/around the Atlanta area, our local andThat! store is in Kennesaw and worth a little road-trip to visit!

Stay tuned for the next shopping challenge with andThat! coming soon…it is going to involve wine, so you will want to be sure check it out!

Stylishly yours,
