The Camo Jacket

Casual Outfit Inspiration, Fall/Winter StyleLauren2 Comments

A versatile, light-weight jacket is an essential for Fall, and the camo jacket is a classic yet trendsetting piece this season.

I love throwing my camo jacket on over a v-neck tee {this one and this one are my two favs} for a casual chic look. I usually pair with black, white or gray but camo also looks fabulous paired over blush pink, hot pink, and even coral.

You can even dress up a camo jacket by pairing with black jeans and heels, layered over a cami or silky blouse and/or wearing over a fitted dress.

The camo jacket I am wearing here is one of the best-fitting I've ever tried. It's well worth the small investment since it's a piece you will wear for seasons to come!

I also want to make mention of these super-comfy and versatile light gray booties. The heel height is perfect and am loving how this color mixes with so many different tones. Plus they are under-$100 and come in two other color options!

Stylishly yours,

Lace, leather and leopard print are three of my absolute favorite style elements to pull out each Fall. This year, each of these are particularly trending and I couldn't be more excited about it.

I put this outfit together for NYFW two weeks ago, and absolutely love every element of it!

1. Leather. A skirt and/or jacket is a great way to incorporate leather as a practical way into your Fall wardrobe. I love this Free People leather skirt because it's stretchy, comfy, and has a belt attached that is super cute when you tuck in a blouse. It's so great that I also own it in black. {Normally Free People runs big, but in this skirt, I recommend sizing up one size.}

2. Lace. Lace is a classic texture to incorporate into your wardrobe year-round. I always love the way lace looks paired with leather since it's adds a soft, feminine touch to the chic look of leather pieces.

This under-$100 lace top is one of my very favorite purchases so far this Fall. It's simply gorgeous and can be worn many different ways, including with jeans and layered under a vest. You can see another way I styled it during NYFW here.

3. Leopard. Leopard shoes are always fabulous for Fall. This season the leopard bootie is a trending statement shoe, and also a very versatile one since leopard mixes with pretty much anything! This pair by Vince Camuto is affordable, comfortable and gorgeous in person.

Last but not least, I had to share that I finally found a Fall hat that I love and that also fits my large head. Ha! In all seriousness, I always struggle to find a hat that fits comfortably and couldn't be more thrilled with this one! It's under $100 and the color is a perfect neutral to pair with anything. It's such a stylish way to cover up dirty/bad hair days, and I have been wearing it constantly.

Now if only the weather would start acting like Fall here in Atlanta, we'd be in business!

Bellsleeves and Bling

Casual Outfit Inspiration, AccessoriesLaurenComment

Bell-sleeves and bling :: The perfect combo in my opinion! A girl simply can't have too much of either in her wardrobe!

You probably recall my post about Universal Diamonds last week. {If you missed it, you can find it here.} I'm excited to show you more gorgeous BLING from Atlanta's most trusted diamond dealer today!

This wedding band set from Universal Diamonds is the literally most gorgeous set I have ever tried on. I am obsessed! And these eternity bands?! Well, I want to start my own collection ASAP!

I love the look of mixing metals with eternity bands. Even if your wedding set is traditional, eternity bands are a place to have fun and be a bit more trendy and unique! The possibilities are literally endless to how you can create a stack of bands, and Universal Diamonds has an unbelievable selection at a wide variety of price points.

Speaking of obsessed, you all know by now how I adore a good bell sleeve. When I saw this blouse {it comes in two other colors, as well}, I was immediately smitten! How fun is the back detail, too?! Bell-sleeves are continuing as a major trend for Fall, so if you don't yet own a bello-seelved top you love, this is the season to snag one!

And I have to give some love to these fun velvet flats. They come in lots of colors and materials, but I'm partial to this fun shade of pink that is perfect for wearing now through Winter! {I recommend sizing up half a size in these flats.}
