tuesday’s tips :: lash envy

I’m sucker for a good mascara, and am continually on the hunt for the best thickening/lengthening mascara out there. And I love the look of fake lashes whenever I have my makeup professionally done for events and photoshoots, but clearly cannot keep that up on a daily basis. {At least not while in my current stage of mothering three-year-old twins anyways!}
I’ve been seeing a lot of “talk” lately surrounding Younique 3D Fiber Mascara and welcomed the opportunity to try it out and review it here on the blog.

I have to say that, hands down, this mascara gives more length and volume than any mascara I have ever tried. {And believe me when I say I have tried nearly all of them!}

Here is the before and after pic of my eyes. {Please forgive how creepy a big picture of “just eyes” looks!} My left eye is the “before” using regular mascara, and the right eye is the “after” using Younique. I must say that the difference looks MUCH more dramatic in person, and that this picture doesn’t give it justice. Even my hubbie, who snapped this picture, commented that the difference is drastic!

And here is a before and after picture from the Younique website… {before here is on the right, and after on the left}

Pretty remarkable, isn’t it? I plan on using this as my “going out” and evening mascara, as well as for any dressy/special occasion to add an “extra wow!”

A little about Younique 3D Fiber Mascara

100% natural fibers made from green tea. It’s paraban-free, carcinogen-free, cruelty-free, chemical-free and organic. Safe for contact lens wearers and water-resistant, yet it removes easily with soap and water. And the best part? It’s only $29 for a 2-3 month supply.

Here’s how to apply ::

Step 1:  Apply one thin coat of your own regular favorite mascara and let it dry. Then, apply Moodstruck Transplanting Gel to your lashes.

Step 2: Immediately following, and while the gel is still wet, apply the Moodstruck Natural Fibers.

Step 3: Reapply the Transplanting Gel {or your regular mascara} a second time to secure the natural fibers onto your lashes.

Then repeat if you want an even more dramatic look! {The pic of my eyes above has only one coat of the 3D Fiber Mascara.}

{I watched this video tutorial about how to apply and it helped me a lot.}

Want to try it? {You should!} Click here to read more and order!

Stylishly yours,
