the day designer

One of my favorite traditions each New Year is selecting a day timer for the coming year. Yes, I use my iCalendar and iCloud to keep some areas of my life organized, but I am a “pen and paper” gal at heart and still prefer a paper daytimer in which I can write my schedule, to do lists and carry with  me nearly everywhere!

I was introduced to the Day Designer by Whitney English via Instagram this year. It is a strategic planner and daily agenda for the “creative entrepreneuer.” And though I like to consider myself that, this is also a fantastic planner for the busy mom and/or girl on the go!

A full page is devoted to each calendar day, giving space to jot down your schedule, to-do lists, top three goals for the day, meal plans, reminders and my favorite little feature :: a space to write down your “daily gratitude.” {My intention the past few years has been to make one of those cute “gratitude jars” on Pinterest, but with the pace of life I live, it just hasn’t happened! Thus, I love that this planner will give me a quick and easy opportunity to regularly document things, big and small, I am grateful for.}

The first dozen or so pages of the planner are devoted to goal setting and big picture dreaming and planning. {Awesome.} So, I’m sitting down today, the last day of 2013, to do just that…think through the coming year, vision-cast and goal-set for my personal life and business. I’m excited to have all my thoughts and notes in one place. And I’m even more excited about the new year, and the fresh start and exciting endeavors that it will bring!

Here’s to an amazing 2014!
