the closet project :: week 6

Happy 2013 everyone! You may have noticed that the Closet Project took a little, ahem, break over the holidays.  I can neither confirm nor deny that this was due to an extended period of lounging in stretchy comfort.

(Okay, fine.  I can confirm it.)

But, I'm back.  And ready to show you the (few) outfit combos I came up with over the last 2 weeks.  And possibly even a reject or two.

Get excited.

Now ladies.  I love and adore a cute fur vest.  The husband?  Not so much.  In fact, when I came downstairs in this, he immediately hit me with THE LOOK.  You girls know what I mean. Being familiar with THE LOOK, I just told him, "You have exactly 30 seconds to make as many jokes about this as you want. Go."

Bonus?  He couldn't think of a single joke under that kind of pressure.  Fur Vest-1, Husband-0.

Shirt:  Anthropologie, Fur Vest: BB Dakota, Emerald Handbag:  (not available anymore, but this one is similar).

Next up? I paired this chunky striped infinity scarf with my favorite plaid shirt. Comfy and warm, and perfect for a relaxing Saturday morning brunch. (Well, except that I constantly dropped crumbs into my scarf during breakfast. Hey, just keeping it real over here.)

Scarf and shirt:  J. Crew (no longer available, but this is similar), Jeggings: Target,, Flats: Tory Burch

Y'all.  I have been LIVING in this sweater.  I love it SO MUCH.  This fall, I got to visit Paris for the first time, and ironically, I picked up this southwest-inspired sweater over there. It's actually one size fits all, which makes it the perfect, slouchy fit.  I've  mainly been pairing it with skinny boyfriend jeans, and a pendant necklace.

Sweater: It Hippie, Jeans: 7 for All Mankind Josefina, Necklace:  Stella and Dot Rebel Pendant

As for #theclosetproject rejects, here's one for you:

This tunic-length sweater is so cute, and I'm honestly having a hard time letting it go.  I actually wore it on the night we announced our pregnancy to a group of friends (four years ago).  But, guess what?  Bodies that announce a pregnancy are quite different than bodies that have experienced a pregnancy.

Yep. Enough said.

That's it for week 6, y'all!  Let us know if you're still enjoying the Closet Project.  Your feedback is SO hugely appreciated!  And as always, follow me on Instagram and Twitter (@sherridickens) for previews of what's happening in my closet!

Until next time,
