Be sure to add a chambray shirt to the very top of your shopping list for Fall. This a huge trend for both men and women for Fall {a post on Fall trends for men coming soon}, and a practical one at that. Chambray is a light-weight denim material that is as practical as a pair of jeans, in terms of versatility. Pair a chambray blouse with any colored or patterned bottom, wear it tucked in, untucked or belted, layer it under a cardigan, jacket, blazer or sweater. The possibilities are endless, and you will wonder how you ever lived without one! A few guidelines when shopping for a chambray top :: Look for a fitted version, making sure that the shirt tapers in a bit at the waist and that the arms are comfortably fitted, and not too baggy. If you already own a solid chambray top, consider purchasing one with a pattern, such as polkadots, or one in a different shade chambray. Β Owning more than one chambray shirt, is smart, not excessive, in my book!

And, you'll be happy to note that you can easily start wearing your chambray shirts now, as a perfect transitional piece for Fall. In warm temps, pair chambray with shorts and skirts, and simply cuff the sleeves. It can also make for a super-cute swim cover-up!

I scoured the web, and here are my top picks for chambray shirts, all under $100, and several under $30!
