The Best Fall Scarves

When it comes to Fall accessories, scarves are by far the easiest way to add color, pattern and texture to any outfit. Scarves have the ability to elevate a look instantly, giving the appearance of a pulled together ensemble, without much effort at all!

Plaid scarves and oversized blanket scarves are always classic, and both are making a big fashion statement this season. There are SO many fun, affordable scarves out right now, that you cannot have too many!

I’ll be creating and sharing a Scarf Tying video tutorial soon, but in the mean time…

Tips for Scarf Wearing and Tying

1. Purchase scarfs that are more over-sized than you think you need. The bigger the scarf, the easier to wear and tie!

2. To square a “blanket” scarf, simply fold the corners of a square together to make a triangle and then tie the triangle around your neck.

3. If scarf tying makes you nervous, try a circular “infinity” style for the most fool-proof styling!

scarves I have been wearing & absolutely loving

The colors of this Nordstrom BP plaid blanket scarf scream “Fall.” This is one of the softest scarves I own, and a must-have for just $29.

I love the simplicity of this burgundy striped triangle scarf. It’s super easy to tie and style, and a great option for those of you unsure about scarf tying!

Also, this Free People thermal tunic top is one of my favorite layering tops of this season. It comes in lots of colors, is super soft and the perfect top to wear under scarves.

This Sole Society plaid infinity scarf is one that you can just throw on and go! I love the fringe detail, too.

When I posted this photo to Instagram last weekend, I got a lot of questions about my faux-leather jacket. This one is by Blank NYC and is under-$100. It’s such a great fitting and quality jacket for the price that I also own it in black!

I’m loving neutral tones for scarves this season, too!

The sweater I am wearing here is another amazing layering piece for Fall. It’s $39, tunic length, super soft and the kind of sweater you want to live in! I have it in two colors and plan on ordering a few more…it is that good! Note that the sweater is over-sized! I am wearing an XS and it is perfect.
