Happy October 1st, friends! October is my birthday month and my favorite month of a year, so I am extra excited for this new month!

I am excited to share with you two new favorite finds. And when I say “favorite” I mean the BEST denim jacket and leather mini skirt I HAVE EVER WORN! Also, be sure to read to the end of the post for a before and after of my new hair extensions!

First off, I say it every season and I’ll say it again. A perfect-fitting denim jacket is a MUST HAVE for EVERY women’s wardrobe. Regardless of your age, body type or even your personal style, you NEED a denim jacket that you love in your wardrobe. A good denim jacket can be worn every season and should last you years!!

This new denim jacket from ABLE fits like a dream. The denim material is buttery soft and supple, and the wash is perfect. I love the slightly longer length and that the sleeves and body of it are fitted without feeling tight. I am wearing a size small and it’s an ideal fit! An big added bonus is that you support women in a giant way when you purchase this jacket, so it’s an extra reason to feel good about the investment! Read more about ABLE’s awesome mission here.

Second, leather and suede mini skirts are always a Fall staple, and are particularly on trend this Fall. Being a girl with curves, I know first-hand that it can be difficult to find a mini-skirt that isn’t too “mini!” This Free People vegan leather skirt is a gorg color for Fall {it also comes in black} and I love that it doesn’t fit too short or too tight. The zipper detail is fun and it’s a classic piece that will look great for years to come! I’ll be wearing this skirt with tights and over the knee boots in winter, too! {I sized up in this skirt and am wearing a size 6.}

Last but not least, you all probably know I wear hair extensions. I’m not shy about it, because, let’s face it…It’s REALLY difficult to maintain healthy, long, bright-blonde locks when you color, bleach and heat-style your hair as frequently as I do. Over the years, I have tried all types of extensions from glue “beads” to a weave to tape-ins. Tape-ins are my hands-down favorite because they feel light and smooth in the hair and are easy to maintain.

Two weeks ago, I visited Whitney Harrington {check her work out on Instagram @blondehairstylist} of Studio 285 for an extension re-do! Whitney travels between Augusta, GA and Buckhead/Atlanta, GA doing color and extensions and is a complete doll! She dropped the length and added to the fullness of my hair dramatically using Aqua Tape-in Extensions, and I LOVE the result. All of the pics in this post are shot with my new hair, and you can see the dramatic before and after results here ::

Whitney is offering and exclusive discount to my followers/readers :: $100 off your first set of extensions! Whitney is great at color-matching and can work with any hair color, not just blondes! The awesome thing is that these tape-ins can be reused mutiple times which saves a lot of money in the long run!

Hair Extension FAQ ::

Can you wash and style your hair normally? YES! I wash my hair like normal and just make sure that don’t put conditioner on the root/tape area. I have gotten in a habit of flipping my head over the shower to condition my hair. I style normally, except I have learned not to brush at the scalp. I use my hair straightener and curling iron/wand as normal and get salon blow-outs frequently without issue. My current favorite shampoo is the Joico Blonde Life Shampoo and the Blonde Life Conditioner. These two happen to be on sale for 2 for $20 at Ulta right now!

How often do you have to get your extensions maintained? I get my tape-ins “moved up” about every 3 months. It really depends on how quickly your hair grows! With these new Aqua extensions, I hope to move them up every 3 months and then to replace the hair annually. The quality of this hair is SO good!!

How much does it cost?

Whitney can consult with you in person or over the phone to predict how much your first hair extension install will be. It depends on how many bundles of tape-ins you need. Rule of thumb is the longer you want to drop your hair, the more you need! Tape-ins can also be used to add fullness and body in shorter hair-cuts and lobs. Because Aqua tape-ins are re-usable, you will save a lot of money in the long haul since you will only pay a small fee to move up the extensions rather than having to invest in new hair every couple months! Contact Whitney for more info at 706.294.6832. Mention my name and you will receive a $100 discount on your first install!

Stylishly yours,

P.S. I have also been getting quite a few questions about this tee over on Instagram. I got it in two colors last Fall and it’s been one of my favorite tee-shirts since! I especially love the way the neck detail looks layered. Thankfully I found it back in stock at one store this season…in four colors! Scoop it up before it’s gone for good!
