Happy New Year! I hope your 2017 is off to a great start!

It's been a nice and much-needed blog break this past week. {In case you missed it, read why I took a week-long blog break here.}

I enjoyed a fun trip to Florida to visit family and taking my twins to Disney World for their first time. We are now back home in Atlanta and I'm excited to kick off a fresh new year here on the blog.

I love finding a top that can be worn year round. When I discovered this Free People tunic top, I immediately knew it was such a piece. It comes in four color ways and can be styled for Fall/Winter with skinny jeans or leggings and then for Spring/Summer with shorts. It's an easy top to style dressed up or down, and is both comfortable and flattering.

I am wearing it here with my favorite Frame black jeans. {Read why I think these jeans are worth the investment here.} I have also been wearing this top with my go-to Spanx faux-leather leggings, and they look perfect together!

On another New Year note, I am kicking off an online nutritional/workout program called The Faster Way to Fat Loss today! I have let stress and the busyness of life derail my workout regime and clean eating for too many months and am frankly just feeling "blah," and certainly not my best!

After seeing one of my blogger friends have amazing results with this program, I was inspired to join her and a few other friends for this 6 week challenge. I've never done anything quite like this, and couldn't be more ready and excited to get off the holiday bloat and to get back to feeling my best! I have already learned SO much just preparing for this bootcamp, and am looking forward to sharing my journey here on the blog, as well as on Snapchat @laurenlefevre and on IG @laurenlefevre.

In case you are already curious, here is info on the Faster Way to Fat Loss online program, that involves carb-cycling and intermittent fasting, as well as intense but short workouts that can be done at home or from a gym. {I am looking forward to spending less time working out and achieving results!}

I will be taking BCAA's each morning in the form of a supplement pill called Catalyst {along with drinking Spark!} and drinking BioCharge during workouts, to ensure my body is burning fat instead of muscle and to help me gain lean muscle and tone. And I'll be amping up my daily probiotic with  PB Assist, and continuing to take my go-to vitamins, Doterra Lifelong Vitality, that give me tons of energy! I plan on sharing some of my favorite recipes and workouts here on the blog over the next 6 weeks, as well as updates on my journey through this program.

Like I said in my last post right before the New Year, I would love to hear from you about what topics you would like to see me cover on the blog. Please send your ideas and feedback anytime to me at lauren@editbylauren.com.

Stylishly yours,

It's about this time every year that I am completely over winter.  The weather wreaks havoc on our unequipped little county and my kids get out of school for like 18 days.  We stuff our kids and ourselves like sausages in multiple layers and the will to get dressed and actually look cute is too much effort.   Well help is here my friends!

This Gap sweater coat is 100% cotton and the perfect outwear replacement to a heavy coat.  The neutral grey and white marled combination is a blank canvas to mix and match into so many different outfits.  Wear it dressed up for the work week with a chambray button down and dress pant or over a solid dress and heels.  Throw it over jeans and your favorite graphic tee for a casual weekend of family fun.

Hurry now and place your order.  Gap is running 40% off your entire purchase for the holiday weekend.  Use LONGWKND at checkout.

I've also included some other sweater coat options for you to check out as well.

Happy Shopping!

sherri's instagram roundup

So, you guys may have noticed that I haven't been posting all that much, either here or on Instagram.

(Or maybe you've just been noticing that binge-watching The Royals is super fun.  That's fine too.)

I actually had surgery in January this year, and basically it was either A) post pictures of sweatpants that have been worn 347 times from the comfort of the recliner I was living in (NO.),  or B) JUST DON'T POST. You can see which route I chose.

(You're welcome).

However, in between binge-watching Jane the Virgin and texting nonsensical things to random friends, I did, in fact, manage to actually get dressed this month....a grand total of about 3 times.  GO. ME.

I wore the outfit on the left for a date night, and the outfit on the right for a daytime, rainy day look.  In both outfits, I threw shade at my husband and acted like a diva, because leather jackets = tough.

LEFT: Leather Jacket | Anthropologie Tunic | Paige Denim {similar here} | Sam Edelman Shoes | Pendant Necklace

RIGHT: Leather Jacket | Project Social Tee | AG Denim | Kate Spade Boots

Sweater Tunic | AG Denim | Ankle Booties | Shinola Watch

This sweater tunic got worn over, and over, and OVER this month.  It's the perfect softness and length, and I kind of want to just crawl into bed and snuggle with it.

What?

Fringe Top {similar here} | AG Denim | Sorel Boots | COLORS Infinity Scarf | Dreamcatcher Necklace

This was arguably my favorite outfit this month.  It was comfortable and relaxed, and I was totally feeling the boho vibes, between the lace-up boots and the fringed shirt. But, let me talk about this scarf--not only is it adorable, warm, and super versatile, the proceeds from your purchase benefit marginalized women right here in Atlanta.  Read about COLORS and their awesome mission here.  Right now, COLORS is generously offering Edit readers a discount, using the code EDIT20.

Now go buy ALL THE SCARVES.  And feel all the good feels.

So, that was my January. I have high hopes of dressing myself at least 5 times in February.

#goals

Until next time,
