Mad for Plaid

Casual Outfit Inspiration, Fall/Winter StyleLaurenComment

When it comes to Fall staples, plaid shirts are one of my favorite wardrobe items to collect and wear season after season. To me, plaid just screams "Fall is here!"

Plaid a classic pattern that looks chic year after year and can be mixed so many different ways. I love sporting plaid flannels casually and untucked with jeans on the weekend. I often dress up plaid with a skirt, like I am wearing in this post. Plaid looks fantastic layered under jackets, blazers, cardigans and vests. In my opinion, you really cannot have too much plaid in your Fall/Winter Wardrobe!

Here are some of my favorite, affordable plaid tops to shop. I own quite a few of these shirts myself, so head over to my Instagram @laurenlefevre to see some of these shirts styled. I recommend going ahead and purchasing the plaids you love, because this time of year, they sell out fast! {Click here to see how I styled one of these tops earlier this week.}

Stylishly yours,

I'm excited to partner with an Atlanta-based boutique, Lucca Lane, today to style two cozy fall layering pieces. Lucca Lane is a fabulous online shop that also just opened a brick and mortar store in the Vinings area of Atlanta. {Keep reading below for info on an event I'll be hosting at the new store later this month!}

I am always attracted to creamy neutrals layers during Fall/Winter, and fine myself on the hunt each season for versatile tunic tops and vests, since both are go-to cold weather pieces for me.

I cannot tell you how incredibly SOFT this waffle knit top is from Lucca Lane! It's the perfect tunic to pair with skinny jeans and leggings, and a piece you want to live in during chilly weather. It's just $34.50 and also comes in a gorgeous charcoal grey

This Sherpa Lined Suede Vest is a gorgeous layer that truly can pair with just about everything! I love it over ivory, like I am wearing here, but also look forward to wearing this vest over plaid tops, chambray shirts and dresses.

All of you who have followed me for the past few years know how much I love vests {and live in them!} during cold weather. I have learned that when you see a great vest, you have to snag it because fab vests fly out of stock! This one is just the kind you need to shop soon...and its very affordable $56.50 price point makes it easy to do so!

Lucca Lane always provides free shipping and is offering 15% off to Edit by Lauren readers with code EDITBYLAUREN. Another special touch that Lucca Lane adds to each package is a hand-written note, making sending a stylish gift to someone extra special, too!

I am excited to host a Fall Styling Event at the new Lucca Lane store in Vinings on Thursday, October 20th from 6pm-8pm. All of you Atlanta ladies please save the date and come out to see the new store and get styled for Fall. I would love to see you there! Stay tuned for more details coming soon.

Happy Friday!

the cape dress

Dressy Outfit Inspiration, Fall/Winter StyleLaurenComment

This Trina Turk Gizela cape dress was another one of my favorite looks from New York Fashion Week. The cut of this dress is effortlessly flattering and chic, and the plaid pattern makes it a classic and timeless piece. I love that this dress looks equally amazing paired with open toed heels like I am wearing here as it does with pumps or with over the knee boots. {For size reference, this dress fits true to size. I am wearing a 2.}

I found this fab dress at the Trina Turk store at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta. All of you Atlanta-area girls need to stop in this gorgeous store to shop this dress + tons of other Fall looks equally as amazing! It's the kind of boutique you want to live in! If you are looking for a stand-out ensemble for any Fall occasion, make the Trina Turk store your one stop shop!

Did you notice the beautiful vintage "bow" choker necklace I am wearing? It's handmade by a Orlanda-based designer friend of mine, Dora Mae Jewelry. You ladies have to check out this gorgeous collection. Each piece is one of kind and pieces can be custom made for you! Use code EDITBYLAUREN for 10% off any purchase.

Stay tuned for a round-up of the rest of my New York Fashion Week looks coming up tomorrow!
