It's about this time every year that I am completely over winter.  The weather wreaks havoc on our unequipped little county and my kids get out of school for like 18 days.  We stuff our kids and ourselves like sausages in multiple layers and the will to get dressed and actually look cute is too much effort.   Well help is here my friends!

This Gap sweater coat is 100% cotton and the perfect outwear replacement to a heavy coat.  The neutral grey and white marled combination is a blank canvas to mix and match into so many different outfits.  Wear it dressed up for the work week with a chambray button down and dress pant or over a solid dress and heels.  Throw it over jeans and your favorite graphic tee for a casual weekend of family fun.

Hurry now and place your order.  Gap is running 40% off your entire purchase for the holiday weekend.  Use LONGWKND at checkout.

I've also included some other sweater coat options for you to check out as well.

Happy Shopping!

one top :: two ways

Happy Tuesday, y'all!  The other day, I was just minding my own business, when I accidentally (on purpose) stumbled upon this top in Anthropologie.  I immediately began justifying it's cost, because of the multiple ways I can wear it. (Cost per wear = low-ish. #girlmath)

Since I'm all about rationalizing a purchase for myself helping a sister out, I made this handy little graphic.

You're welcome. [show_ms_widget id="12451024" image_id="13102100" width="665" height="541"]

the mullet concept

Casual Outfit InspirationSherriComment

Now, before you get nervous, horrified, or excited (what's wrong with you?), mullets are not in.  DO NOT START PREPPING YOUR HAIR FOR A RETRO MULLET.  The Edit girls in no way condone mullets, nor will we ever be rocking them. I hope. (Mullet parties, on the other hand, are a super fun & hilarious way to make everyone you know look ridiculous.  Especially your pretty friends, who manage to never look ridiculous.  What? Just saying.)

Back to fashion.  AHEM.  In my opinion, the "business on top, party on bottom" concept is a no brainer.

Now, I know the word MULLET just conjured scary 80's flashbacks for some of y'all, so here is a handy dandy graphic for my cute little doubters ::

More proof? Here are some Pinterest-worthy fashionistas rocking the "mullet look."

And then there's this little fashionista....

For some reason, my five-year old refuses to become a professional photographer, so I don't have to do awkward selfies. Rude.

And just to be clear, here is an example of what "the mullet concept" does NOT mean:
