If y'all are at all like me, it's entirely possible that you run around before a date throwing clothes on and off, before dramatically declaring "I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!!!" This may or may not cause your husband to roll his eyes, while huffing about "how many freaking clothes you own."

Therefore, because I love you AND because I just wanted to say therefore, I give you the Appropriate For All Situations Date Night Outfit.  Start with a blazer (because you are fancy), a fun tank (I'm loving leather lately), and some boyfriend denim (because Sherri has an obsession).  Add in some animal-print booties, a graphic clutch, and a total boss of a ring, and there ya go.

You're welcome. (And so are your husbands.)

Until next time,

neon glow

Fall/Winter Style, AccessoriesLaurenComment

Neon brights were hot this summer, and are continuing to trend into Fall. A great way to transition to your neon peices is to pair with black. I love how neon pops against black, and how it's easy to combine super-bright hues with a black "back-drop." Here's how I mixed neon yellow, oranges and pinks with black for a colorful ensemble, perfect for the summer's end...

the now & later swing dress

Fall/Winter Style, Spring/Summer Style, Casual Outfit InspirationLaurenComment

One of my favorite things to wear late Summer into early Fall are dresses. And when shopping for dresses this time of year, I always look for pieces that can be worn now with sandals and then later with boots or booties {with the optional addition of tights, when needed}. When I spotted this colorful swing dress at Anthropologie, I knew it fit right into this catagory.

Love this dress now with edgy caged sandals {or any cute wedge} ::

Love it later with suede ankle booties {would also look fab with cowboy boots or tall boots} ::

And how perfect is it paired with my new favorite bracelet from Kendra Scott's Fall Collection?! {Swoon.}

[show_shopthepost_widget id="216464"] Side note :: This dress is cut very generously, so I recommend sizing down. I think it would also be perfect as a "maternity" dress, and could be worn over leggings or skinny jeans, for you mamas-to-be!

Stylishly yours,
