After the past few seasons full of print mixing and seemingly avoiding matching at all costs, coordinating seperates are trending this Summer. Matching your top and bottom, whether it be a skirt, pants or shorts, couldn't be cooler, or more effortless! I am personally loving this look, and can't get over the stylish sophistication this Alice and Olivia matching skirt set. Another advantage of matching sets? You can wear both pieces independently to create infinite new looks!

Note that many matching seperates are sold with "crop tops." I am learning that most of these tops are not as cropped as they appear on the online model. To avoid showing too much stomach, like I did here, make sure the bottom is higher-waisted and/or order down a size in the matching skirt so that it sits higher on the waist. {For instance, I am wearing a size 2 top and size 0 skirt here to pull the skirt up to the highest and smallest part of my waist.}

Happy matching!
