the must-have ankle bootie

Fall/Winter Style, Accessories, Spring/Summer StyleLaurenComment

When it comes to Fall footwear must-haves, the ankle bootie should be at the very top of your list. I bring up this "Fall trend" now, even though temperatures are still toasty in most of the country, because this is a shoe you can start wearing now! Ankle boots look super cute paired with shorts, with long maxi dresses as well as with short dresses and skirts. They are a perfect way to transition summer wardrobe pieces into Fall. {For example, add a pair of sueded ankle booties and a denim jacket to a summer sundress, and it will easily carry the dress through the Autumn season. You could even add tights to this look, if the weather necessitates.} Of course, ankle boots also look fab worn with skinny pants, jeans, as well as slacks {depending on the style of the boot}.

There is an ample and amazing ankle bootie selection out this season, ranging from flat to wedge to high heeled versions, pointed-toed dressy styles to rugged and western, sueded textures to metallic sheen, and in every color imaginable, so have fun with selecting a pair or two of booties.Β {Be warned...it is tempting not to purchase a dozen pairs!}

In fact, I had a difficult time narrowing down just a couple of my top-picks, in a variety of styles and price-points, so here are FIFTEEN pairs to browse through and shop. Simply click on a picture to shop the look and read more about it.

We would hear what style ankle booties you are loving for Fall! Please comment and share what styles are on your Fall wish-lists, plus share any tips on where to shop for them! As always, feel free to snap of pic of you in your ankle booties and #editbylauren on Instagram and/or Twitter.

Stylishly yours,
