When it comes to Spring/Summer wardrobe essentials, a comfy dress that you can throw on and go anywhere in is at the top of the list!

I found that dress for me this season, and when I say I have been wearing this little Free People dress multiple times a week, I am dead serious!

{I actually love it so much that I also own it in red! See pic below!}

Reward Style Conference Outfit Recap

Lauren1 Comment

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that last week I was in Dallas for the annual Reward Style Blogger Conference. It's always a great time to reunite with my best blogger friends from around the country and to connect with some of my favorite brands as well as new brands.

The outfits are always a big part of the trip {no suprise}, so here is a recap of what I wore. These outfits are perfect for vacationing as well as Spring/Summer weddings and cocktail functions, so I hope they inspire you as you outfit plan for upcoming events.

Travel outfit to Dallas. I am going to have to dedicate an entire post to this little smocked Free People dress soon because I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! It's crazy comfy, flattering and perfect for throwing on and wearing just about everywhere. I purchased it in red, too, because it's just so perfectly easy to wear! I am wearing an XS for reference.

Also, these comfy sandals are 15% off and go with everything!

Thursday Night Poolside Party with SuperGoop. I wore this amazing Alice & Olivia floral romper to the first event of the conference. I love the colors and fit of this romper. It's an investment piece but one that can be worn over and over, for years to come since it has such a vintage appeal! I always size up in Alice & Olivia and am wearing a size 6. Find it in more sizes here.

Friday Meetings & Lunch with Banana Republic. Wore this nautical dressy shorts outfit Friday, and loved pairing these fun Marc Fisher floral heels {currently on sale} with the look!

Friday Night Cocktail Party with Express. Express hosted a fun, fiesta themed outdoor party Friday evening and I wore the cutest, comfiest $60 dress from ASOS. I paired it with these giant floral statement earrings by Zara. {These red Baublebar earrings are also perfect with the dress.} I received so many questions about these ankle-tie heels, which are from last year and now sold out. I am happy to report that I found a very similar version on Amazon for $25!! As always, be sure to size up in ASOS. I am wearing a size 6.

Saturday night LiketoKnow. It Finale Party. It's hard to believe that my friends/roommates and I all wore shades of blue to the finale party without any advance planning or coordination, isn't it?! My shimmery cocktail dress by Topshop is just $90 and also comes in a gorgeous shade of light pink!

Sunday Morning Travel Outfit. I traveled home in the cutest pink blouse, paired with my go-to skinny jeans and comfy wedges! And, by the way, if you need a new pair of light-wieght, flattering, stretchy skinny jeans for Spring, this is your pair! They fit TTS and are my favs!!

I am finishing this post from Minneapolis, MN, where I just landed for the Beautycounter Leadership Summit! I can't wait to share more with you on the blog soon, and hope you will follow along on my weekend over on Instastories @laurenlefevre. And speaking of Beautycounter, you MUST check out the just-launched new lipglosses and lipsticks. Azalea lipgloss and Garden Party lipstick are my favs and so perfect for Spring!! I have been wearing both {seperately and layered together} constantly lately!!

Five Types of Sunglasses to Own and Love

LaurenComment

One of the most requested blog post topics lately has been one dedicated SUNGLASSES!

So, here it is :: a post all about my very favorite sunglasses.

I'm a sunglasses fanatic at heart, and own well over 25 pairs. I have a mix of designer and "cheap" sunglasses, and honestly love them all! I think sunglasses are one of the easiest ways to change up your look on an everyday basis, especially during Spring/Summer months and when vacationing.

Here are my top 5 types of sunglasses to own + tips on styling each frame ::

1. The Versatile Aviator Frame. The aviator is quite possibly the most universal style of sunglasses. If you don't own a pair of aviators you love, this is where you need to start!

You cannot go wrong with a pair of classic Raybans. I have owned this oversized pair of Rayban Aviators {wearing above} for over 8 years now, and they are still going strong!

In the past year, I have added this pair by Sonix {I love the tortoise shell detail}, pictured below, and this funky mirrored pair by Quay, pictured above. Quay, by the way, is my absolute favorite brand of inexpensive sunglasses. The styling and quality is amazing for the price!

Another thing I love about an aviator is that they can look sporty and fit well under ball caps as well as straw hats for casual days and beach days!

2. The Chic Black Frame. A chic pair of black plastic framed sunnies is a classic accessory. I love that black frames look good on every skin tone and hair color and instantly add a pop of "glam" and even mystique to any outfit! While I certainly wear black frames casually, they are usually what I reach for with a dressier outfit! The affordable $55 pair by Quay I am wearing above is a current favorite and dress up or down.

3. The Classic Tortoise Frame. An oversized tortoise frame is always timeless and classic. I purchased this pair of Karen Walker's years ago and they continue to be one of my most worn pairs of sunnies since they go with just about everything! There are many shades of tortoise shell, so be sure to find the coloring that works best for your skin and hair color. I find that blondes typically look great in a true brown tortoise while darker brunettes look fab in a gray-toned tortoise.

4. The Retro White Frame. White sunglasses are the epitome of a carefree, summer vibe. I recently found this $38 pair at Anthropologie and have been wearing them with so much! I love pairing my white sunnies with bright colors as well as anytime I wear my white jeans. To me, a pair white sunglass is a pair to save on, since they are trendy and casual.

5. The Trendy Blush Frame. Speaking of trendy, if you are a fashionista that likes to keep up with the current trends, add a pair of blush sunnies to your wardrobe this season! Blush sunnies look fabulous paired with whites, black or other pastels. They are the least "versatile" of these five types of sunnies, but still fun and totally worth snagging at a good price!
