Friday Five

HAPPY FRIDAY!

It's been a few weeks since I've done a Friday Five, and excited to bring it back today!

Here are five things I am loving this week ::

1. These sneaks.  I got these $69 sneakers in the mail this week and cannot believe how comfy they are! Seriously amazing and so cute, too. They come in four colors, and I am VERY tempted to order them in either black or red...or both...for Fall! Snag them before they sell out!

2. These sunnies. I snagged these $35 sunglasses on the Nordstrom sale and have been loving them! They come in three colors and fit perfectly under a ball cap, making them extra-ideal for days spent in the sun. Plus, they look identical to a MUCH pricier popular designer pair! Snag them before the #nsale ends.

I also have to give a shoutout to this $49 top, which I have been wearing constantly the past month. I adore the fit and it's super light and breezy for hot days. Cute with jeans, too!

3. This skincare deal. You have heard me talk about Beautycounter here on the blog and social media over the past few months, and how I have really been enjoying switching me and my family's products over to safer ones. {Read my post all about it here.} Beautycounter just launched THE BEST SPECIAL to date and it's running now through Sunday, July 30th. Spend $150 on any purchase and you get your choice of either the best-selling {and my personal favorite} Cleansing Balm, an $80 value, or the Body Oil, a $73 value, for FREE!

Head here to read my top five Beautycounter products, and feel free to email me with any product questions. If you have been wanting to jump in and try some Beautycounter products, this is the ideal time. Plus, Beautycounter offers a 60-day no-questions-asked return policy if you don't love a product, so there really isn't a risk!

4. This lavender jacket. If you read my post this week about lavender being a trending and very versatile color for Fall, then you understand my love for this moto jacket. It's super soft and comfy and something that can be worn into Spring. It's currently marked down by $100 and available in all sizes! I am wearing a size small for reference.

5. This striped tee. I have a serious obsessed with striped tees, and this french-terry ruffle sleeved version is a great addition to every Summer wardrobe. It's ultra-comfy, comes in three colors and is on sale for $31!

This blue and white statement necklace also deserves a mention because it's affordable and goes with SO much! Just scroll through my Instagram feed to see different ways I have been styling it. It's a great piece to take into Fall.

I'm headed to Avalon, one of my favorite destinations in the Atlanta-area, this weekend for a fun stay cation with my family. I'll be streaming it "live" from Instastories @laurenlefevre, so be sure to head over and follow along!

Have a fabulous weekend!

The Essential Denim Skirt

LaurenComment

If you are like me and have owned a few denim skirts over the years, you are probably kicking yourself for getting rid of them, now that you are reading this post!

It makes total sense that this versatile skirt is making a big comeback...because it goes with just about anything AND can be worn pretty much year-round.

I love denim skirts worn during summer barelegged with any kind of sandal, wedge or sneaker. Then when Fall rolls around, a denim skirt looks ultra-stylish paired with booties, tall boots and even layered with tights.

I recently found this skirt by BlankNYC, which has been my go-to brand for denim shorts. This one fits amazing {true to size}, and is under-$100, too. It has just enough stretch to keep the skirt comfortable and in place, and is a good "mid/mini-length" for pairing with any kind of shoe. I also love the wash!

Here are some other great denim skirt options to shop, in a variety of lengths, styles and price-points ::

My entire outfit is on sale!! Joie dress | Vince Camuto booties | Rebecca Minkoff bag | Sonix sunglasses

Purple and lavendar tones are a trending colors for Fall, and surprisingly more versatile than you might think! I'm already predicting this is going to be my favorite color this season!

Purple is a universally flattering color, and adds a refreshing "pop" when paired with neutrals during Fall/Winter.

A light lavender is a unique take on a neutral...think of it like a cool gray that pairs with just about anything!

I am especially loving lavender for shoes and handbags for Fall since it can mix with just about anything, and also that this hue will transition right into Spring.

Speaking of transition, this Joie dress is a great season-to-season transitional piece. It's super comfy and I love that it can be worn day or evening, with anything from flat sandals to wedges to booties to a tall boot. And did I mention it's a part of the Nordstrom sale?!  I typically size down in Joie, and am wearing an XS in this dress.

The Rebecca Minkoff bag I am wearing here is sadly sold out in this color, but is available here and here on sale in other colors. I LOVE this hobo style bag in the same color.
