It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving Day is less than one week away!

As you busy planning the menu, don't forget to take time to plan your outfit, too! Feeling comfortable on Turkey Day doesn't mean you have to compromise style, and I am happy to share with you ten comfy looks prove it.

Here are ten Thankgiving Day outfit ideas ::

1. Black and tan neutrals. Black and tan look classic fabulous together and is an easy look to create out of what is already in your closet. This $55 lace-sleeved sweater is one of the softest I've ever owned and a great piece to wear indoors and out. If you haven't yet snagged this dupe under-$100 Chloe Pixie bag, it comes in six colors and is such a great little bag!

2. Oversized tunic. This colorful oversized Free People tunic is one of my most favorite additions to my Fall/Winter wardrobe. I love it so much I have worn it three times so far this week! It's perfect tucked in or out, over skinny jeans or faux-leather leggings. It's perfectly oversized for a full-day of feasting! Shop a similar pair of booties here. {Mine are from last season.}

3. Sweater dress. A sweater dress paired with tall boots is a classic Thanksgiving look, and perfect if you don't want to wear jeans. This one is the softest sweater dresses I've ever worn and I love the tie sleeves. It's on sale for $78 and I am wearing a small for size reference.

4. Ruffled sweater + furry slides. You cannot go wrong with a cozy sweater paired with ultra-cozy shoes. This ruffled sweater is super-soft and just $49.  These under-$100 furry flats feel like slippers and add a punch of style to any outfit. I love these shoes so much that I also own them in leopard-print! Just be sure to size up a half a size for a perfect fit!

5. Plaid and denim. A plaid top paired with jeans is another classic holiday look and one that is always comfortable! This high-neck Free People plaid top is a fun, slightly dressier take on a typical plaid button down. Just add a fur vest if you need an extra layer!

7. Tee shirt dress + sneakers. If you live in a warmer climate, a comfy tee shirt dress paired with stylish sneakers is a perfect look for Turkey Day! This $39 ruffle-sleeved dress comes in seven colors and is a year-round favorite. It's perfect layered with a denim jacket. These sneaks are favorites this season, too!

8. A colorful thermal. A thermal top is a Fall essential and can be worn and layered so many different ways! This rainbow thermal is so fun, and comes in six color options. It's looks fab layered under a leather jacket, too!

9. A striped top or sweater. Stripes are always stylish, and this striped peplum is a dream! It's soft and comfortable and looks so cute layered under a jacket or vest, too! It's 20% off today!

10. A comfy dress + faux-fur vest. Sometimes a stretchy dress is the most comfortable thing you can wear for a day of eating! I love this comfortable dress from Anthropologie, and the green color is perfect for taking you right into the holiday season! This gorgeous vest is a fun new purchase for the cold-weather season and fits so well! It's 20% off today. It can be difficult to fine a good fur vest, so I'm always excited to score one!

Stay tuned for lots of gift ideas and Black Friday sales coming at you throughout this next week!

Happy Thanksgiving week!

A New York City Rooftop Brunch

MY LOOK :: asos dress {i am wearing a size US 4} | c/o baublebar earrings | steve madden heels | c/o kendra scott cuff | karen walker sunglasses

TARA'S LOOK :: topshop unique dress | valentino heels

AMANDA'S LOOK :: kate spade dress | kate spade purse | kate spade shoes

This year's New York Fashion Week was an absolute blast and one of the highlights of the trip was hosting a "Rooftop Recharge" Blogger Brunch with two friends, Tara and Amanda, for some of our favorite blogger gals. This was an idea I had been kicking around with my friend, Tara, for about a year and it was so exciting to see it all come into fruition!

We hosted a Sunday brunch at a gorgeous rooftop restaurant called Haven, which sits at the top of the beautiful Sanctuary Hotel, located nearby by Rockefeller Center and Times Square. Fifteen lovely bloggers from around the country joined us for breathtaking views, delicious food, bottomless mimosas and rose sangria {which was amaze!}, and lively conversation! It was a welcomed break from the hustle and bustle of Fashion Week, allowing all of us ladies to kick up our feet, connect and relax before we started a busy day.

Tara {aka "Martha Stewart"} coordinated the brunch decor, choosing a palette of blush, gray and burgundy, coordinating with the gorgeous backpacks Henri Bendel gifted each guest. Gorgeous florals by New York Plaza Florist completed the colorful tablescape.

Some of our favorite brands generously sponsored our brunch and filled each guests backpacks with an amazing assortment of goodies! These bags and their contents were a highlight of the brunch. Here's a peek into what was inside each Henri Bendel backpack ::

Corkcicle Canteen {keeps your drinks hot or cold ALL DAY!}

Colleen Rothschild Detox Mask, Face Oil and Eye Cream {I SWEAR by these three products and use them daily/weekly!}

Kendra Scott earrings

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye {my fav concealer!} and eye brush

It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product {I use this every time I was my hair!} and hairspray

Clinique Pop Lip Color

Sole Society scarf {so pretty for Fall!}

Henri Bendel travel perfume and candle

InStyler Blu Mini Hairdryer

I wore the cutest ASOS metallic floral dress that is a perfect dress to wear Spring through Fall! I loved this dress for an outdoor brunch but it would also be perfect for a Fall wedding, and can be layered with a cropped jacket in cooler weather. It's under $100 and so comfy. {This dress only comes in Petite sizing for some reason. I am 5'7 and wearing a size 4 for size reference. The dress is roomy, so it helps compensate for the slightly shorter cut.} I have to also make mention of my heels, that have been go-to favorites of mine since I purchased them in July for Miami Swim Week. These Steve Madden Bowwtye heels are such versatile dressy shoes, look just like a MUCH more expensive designer version, come in four colors and are currently on sale for under $60!

If you looking for some new faces to follow on Instagram, here are the fab ladies who joined us.

Stephanie (@thestylebungalow), Kristen(@highendhippie), Christina (@fashionandfrills),  Sage (@sosageblog), Maddie (@ottestyle), Lauren (@laurenkaysims), Natalie (@natalie_keinan), Jaime (@jaimeshrayber), Brooke (@onesmallblonde), Jenn (@mrscasual), Amy (@fashion_jackson), Lauren (@lomurph), Jessica (@lipstickheelsandababy), Jenn (@jennysuemakeup), Bailey (@baileyschwartz)

A big thanks to Haven and Sanctuary for hosting us, to all the ladies who joined us and to the fabulous brands who gifted us so many goodies! Looking forward to making this brunch an annual NYFW tradition!

national brunch day with draper james

Entertaining, Dressy Outfit Inspiration, Spring/Summer StyleLauren1 Comment

Reese Witherspoon and the Draper James team are declaring Saturday, June 18th, National Brunch Day. How fun is that?! Brunch is by far my favorite meal, so I'm all about this kind of celebration!

I had so much fun teaming up with Draper James and one of my best-blogger friends, Joni Lay of Lay Baby Lay, to host a girls brunch, featuring the new Draper James brunch-themed tableware. These pieces are just the cutest, make throwing together a stylish brunch a cinch and are going to be my new go-to hostess gifts!

We hosted this spontaneous brunch with four of us moms, got a sitter to watch all the kiddos, and had some fun girl time complete with mimosas, homemade biscuits, pound cake and cream {head over to the Lay Baby Lay blog for the recipes}, and store-bought macaroons {thanks, Trader Joes!}.

Joni and I added a few fun Anthropologie finds to complete the table decor. How gorgeous are these golden floral tapers?! I can't believe how inexpensive they are, too! {P.S. The entire Anthro site is 15% off this weekend!} And this CB2 gold flatware is so gorgeous and affordable, it deserves a shout-out, too... It's a 20 piece set for under $80!

And of course, we wanted to be decked out in our Draper James best for this southern-style brunch, so Joni and I picked two of our favorite pieces from the newest summer collection. I am wearing the most gorgeous jeweled romper {it's the kind of romper you can wear to any cocktail party or summer event and feel super flattered and comfortable while stealing the show!} and Joni is wearing the cutest seersucker dress. Both pieces run true to size and are ultra-flattering, classic pieces that will look timeless for years to come.

I'm extra excited to team up with Draper James to invite you to enter to win the Draper James brunch collection, a Packed Party box AND a $250 Draper James Shopping Spree!! Click here or the photo below to enter!

Happy National Brunch Day!

Stylishly yours,
